“It is finished!”
Words that rocked the world.
Finished. Completed. Concluded. Finally… the task is done.
For thousands of years He told His people that He would come, He would conquer, He would deliver. Jesus Christ delivered on all accounts. He finished the task before Him. With 1Month2Live, our own spiritual journey is now half way to that glorious conclusion. But we are not there yet…
This is a challenge that will be easy for some, somewhat challenging for others, and downright frustrating for people like me. It’s a challenge of integrity, of doing what you said you would do. Just as God did.
Challenge #16: Finish something. If you really had only 14 days left on this planet, wouldn’t you find the motivation to tie up loose ends, mend relationships that needed mending, finish tasks that you started but still lie incomplete? What have you still not done? Find it and finish it!
I thank God that He finished what He started. And I also thank God that He is not yet finished with me. As you ponder this challenge, and as you begin the end of your unfinished project, give
a prayer to the One who delivers on all promises.
Ready for a break? You’re about to have one… Tomorrow’s Challenge: SABBATH

Woah. Am I really the first commenter? Cool!
ReplyDeleteI am going to have to finish an awkward friendship @ school. I eat lunch with these gals every day, and we tease each other a lot. I'm honestly getting kind of tired of it.
Today I stuck around work late, even though it was Friday, and finished a HUGE project that was hanging over my head. It feels SO GOOD to have it completed and not have to worry about it anymore. I'm glad I did it - now I can enjoy my weekend in peace.
ReplyDeletei know what im doin
ReplyDeleteI would like to finish printing family photos. Those empty picture frames that have been hanging in the hall for 2 years drive me crazy every single day!
ReplyDeleteI would like to finish cleaning the playroom windows. They still have spray snow residue from the "That's a wrap" prank LAST Christmas!
I would like JD to finish the cabinet work in the kitchen. Although I am EXTREMELY thankful to have a dishwasher installed!
And in my "free time" I would like to finish my quilting projects and the baby scrapbooks for the kids.
So I just finished cleaning my room. And I'm currently sitting next to a waist high pile of clothes, I don't know if they're dirty or clean. I can't wait to sleep in my room, first time in two weeks.
ReplyDeleteWith only 14 days left, I have some things that I need to do. And now is when i'm going to do them

im going to finish this semester with all A+ 's and im going to fimish soccer as a super star (or am going to try to) haha. lots of hard work to come for me.
ReplyDeleteThis is what im going to finish, though it sounds weird and may not make sense. Im going to finish this truck im designing in my CAD (Computer Aided Design...google it if you dont know what im talking about) class. Its not an assignment, and its way above the level of difficulty for the class, but i get CAD really well and i wanted to try it. Its really hard to make and i really dont know everything completely yet that i should for the program to do it right, but im going to finish the design i had in mind by the end of the semester.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to finish cleaning out my closet at my dads house. It's something I never really got around to doing so I just kind of avoided it So I didn't have to go back and think about old memories. But it's getting cleaned.
ReplyDeleteOn Saturday, I was finally able to fix the brakes on our little white car... after Tracie had been after me for months to do SOMETHING with them. I had checked them when she initially said there was something wrong with the car. When she applied the brakes, the car started shaking, I didn't think it was that bad, until last week. I checked the brakes again on Saturday and decided I needed to replace the brakes. Yep, new pads and rotors, should be good to go... when we get the o2 sensor replaced... next "Finish" project!
ReplyDeleteI've had a guitar neck waiting for me to finish the glue-up for months. I did it Saturday.
ReplyDeleteI think I get to re-do it, though, as there are some unacceptable gaps. *sigh*
know what im doing
ReplyDeletemy room.
ReplyDeletei had been ignoring it for a long time. so staightened it up. it's fresh and clean now. :)
Definitely my room is at the top of the list. Almost done. And today I did something I always dread. Guys will not understand this, but I'm hoping that the ladies can understand the pain I went through today by choosing to clean out all of the purses I switched from but didn't clean out. I have A LOT of purses. But, I was so happy it was done, and I was able to decide on some to get rid of because I do have too many. (Corey says he won't move in with me if I don't get rid of some stuff...)

ReplyDeleteSo, as many of you know, I'm a neat freak. So much of one that I enjoy cleaning other people's houses. Anyways, my car is a mess. Well, when I say mess I mean in my eyes. To most of you, my mess is a very clean car. Lol. I just hate stuff being in my car. So, I cleaned it all out. Ohhh it's wonderful. I feel at peace now.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this kinda doesn't count because it happened like in August, but it continues to grow. My relationships with both Leslie and Danielle. I am so thankful that we're together again. Everyday I am glad that they're back in my life.
I'm working on this one still...I have a quilt I'm working on. It's still going to take a while but I will finish it.
